Gemini is Google’s AI assistant, offered as a web app and a mobile app and built into Workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs and Sheets. Google describes it as an interface to a multimodal model handling text, audio, images and more, and its plan pages list Deep Research, which analyzes hundreds of sources in real time, alongside image generation and editing, Gemini Live, Canvas and Gems. The free tier costs nothing beyond a Google Account; the paid consumer plans are sold as multiples of the free tier’s usage and widen access to the more capable models, and video generation arrives on the paid tiers. Businesses reach it through Google Workspace, Google Cloud or the education plans, and Google states on its Workspace page that company data is not used for AI model training or ads.
