ChatGPT is OpenAI’s AI assistant, organised on its own overview page around three modes: everyday chat, a Work mode that creates and edits docs, slide decks, spreadsheets, charts, PDFs and images using the files and apps you connect, and Codex for coding and technical work. It runs on the web, on iOS and Android and as a desktop app for Windows and Mac, with a Chrome extension and extensions for Excel, PowerPoint and Google Sheets. The free plan is available to everyone and carries limits on uploads, image generation, voice, deep research, memory and Codex access; the paid individual plans lift those limits and widen model access, and Business and Enterprise add a shared workspace with admin controls for users, usage and billing. OpenAI states that business data, including conversations, files and outputs, is not used to train its models by default.
