Knowt is a free AI-powered study platform trusted by over 7 million students, designed to eliminate the manual work of creating study materials by automatically converting notes, PDFs, lecture videos, and slides into flashcards, quizzes, summaries, and study guides. Its key features include unlimited AI flashcard generation, spaced repetition, practice tests, a YouTube lecture summarizer via a Chrome extension, one-click Quizlet import, and Kai (an in-app AI study assistant that can answer questions about your uploaded notes, explain wrong answers, and generate additional practice questions.) It is designed for high school and college students, test preppers (SAT, AP, MCAT, GRE), teachers, and self-learners, and is widely regarded as the best free alternative to Quizlet following Quizlet’s 2023–2024 pricing changes. The free plan is genuinely robust, covering unlimited flashcards, study modes, and AI summaries; the Ultra plan runs $19.99/month or $9.99/month billed annually at $119.99/year and unlocks unlimited Kai chat and advanced AI features.
